LA LUPA was founded in 2016 by Tara and Lorenzo. Tara has travelled around Italy for the best part of 14 years with her partner Lorenzo, who is Roman, and often noticed stylish Italian women wearing vibrant coloured luxurious handbags that added a bold statement to their outfits. Every time Tara returned to London, where she had been living for many years, she was often stopped by women asking where she bought her gorgeous coloured leather handbags and this led to an exciting business adventure. LA LUPA has grown from strength to strength and is now in the UK, Italy and New Zealand.
Tara and Lorenzo live in Italy and visit our manufactures regularly in Tuscany as we add new bags and leather colours to the collection. It enables us to work closely with our manufacturers to design and produce versatile handcrafted leather handbags. Our LA LUPA handbags are available in an array of wonderful colours, including classic black and navy, and styles to add a touch of Italian elegance to your wardrobe.
In 2023, Julie (Tara & Lorenzo's close friend) an admirer of the brand, brought LA LUPA to the UK. Since then LA LUPA has gone from strength to strength and works closely with its UK customers to bring them the wonderful styles and colours they are asking for.

LA LUPA Handbags is based in Italy, the UK and New Zealand and named in honour of the ancient mythological Roman she-wolf, La Lupa.
